What are chromas?
Chromas are special color variations of existing skins that let you further customize the look of your champion in-game. They're only available for specific skins, and those skins generally have six standard chromas plus one secret chroma, which is indicated with a blue star on its icon. You must own both the champion and that specific skin before you can get its accompanying chromas.
How do I get a Chroma?
You'll need Chroma Orb Tickets first, which you can purchase by going to Store > Other > Other.
After that, you can get to the Chroma Orb Screen by following either of these paths:
- Go to your Vault
- Select a Chroma Orb Ticket
- Select Use
OR
- Go to your Collection
- Select the Champion who has the Chroma you want
- Select the Skin associated with the chroma
- Select the Chroma icon
Once you're at the Chroma Orb Screen, you'll see 6 Orbs surrounding the champion. Each of these represents a random chroma from the possible options, with a 15.83% chance for each standard chroma, and a 5% chance for the secret chroma.
If you're gunning for a specific chroma, you have two tools at your disposal to get more information:
Scanner - Reveals the exact chroma contained in a Chroma Orb. Each Chroma Orb can only be scanned once. Scanners can be purchased with Poro Energy.
Detector - Reveals a chroma that's not inside the detected Chroma Orb. You can use up to three Detectors on a single Orb. Detectors can be purchased with Wild Cores or Blue Motes.
Once you've decided which Orb you want, it'll take 10 Chroma Orb Tickets to open it and get that chroma.
Alternatively, you can buy the Full Set for 60 Chroma Orb Tickets, opening all 6 orbs at once. Note that this opens your available Orbs, but does not give you all available chromas. The bonus value of grabbing a Full Set is that if your Full Set purchase happens to includes the secret chroma, you'll be given any missing remaining chromas available to that skin as well.
If you happen to get a chroma you already earn, you'll be given Poro Energy instead, and if you open 20 chromas orbs without getting the secret chroma, you'll receive it for free.
How do I use a chroma?
To equip your chroma, make sure you've selected a champion and skin that has the chromas you own, then select the Chroma button and choose the chroma you want.
I don't like the chroma I got, can I get a refund?
Like WR's other consumable content, Chroma Orbs, Scanners, and Detectors cannot be refunded.
However, you can get a refund on Chroma Orb Tickets—so long as they are unused and purchased within the last 14 days
