What are League of Legends: Wild Rift Companions?
Companions are little buddies who follow you around in-game and appear elsewhere in your profile. While they don't change any in-game mechanics, they'll always make sure you have a friend in Wild Rift!
In-Game Effects
Companions can do a whole lot, including accompany you into battle.
If you choose to display your Companion, they'll go wherever you go and may even cheer you on depending on their evolution level. But don't worry—your Companion will not reveal your position. If you can't be seen by the enemy, neither can they.
Additionally, they'll hide whenever you take damage from a turret or enemy champion so you can focus on the fight. They also don't appear in Legendary Ranked games. Those are just a little too intense for your little buddy.
If you want to limit how many Companions you see, you can adjust their visibility settings by tapping in the Companion screen, or from the Settings menu during a match:
- Everyone - Whether friend or foe, if somebody is using a Companion, you'll see it.
- Allies only - Only the Companions of your allies are visible.
- Mine only - It's just you and your buddy.
- Hide - You won't see any Companions in-game, regardless of the settings of others.
You can also decide if you want your Companion to show up in your Profile Display or your Profile Page.
Adventures
Your Companions may also join you on time-limited Adventures, which you can check by tapping the journal icon in the bottom right corner of the Home Screen near the Play button. They'll progress through the Adventure on their own and earn you rewards so long as they remain Energetic, which you can ensure by feeding them little candies to increase their Energy level.

How to Get Companions
Cost: 200 Wild Cores
Daily Limit: 150 Picture Books
Each time you open a Wild Rift patch 5.1 Companion Picture Book, you're guaranteed 1 Power of Companionship and a random reward based on the drop rates below.
Power of Companionship can also be purchased directly from the Store.
Tier 1 Drop Rates
If you don't own any Companions, you'll be guaranteed a 1-star companion on your first purchase. After that, drop rates depend on the highest star-level you've evolved to.
Tier 2 Drop Rates
If you have at least one ☆ Companion, Picture Books may contain the following goodies:

Evolving Your Companion
Companions have three star levels of evolution. Evolving them not only changes their appearance, but increases the variety of their in-game reactions from simple emoting while idling to celebrating your wins and even greeting your friends. You can check these emotes in advance by tapping the Preview button in the upper right corner of the Companion screen.
Companions can be evolved either from winning them in Picture Books or using the Power of Companionship, which can come with Picture Books or be purchased on its own.
Evolving from ☆→☆☆ takes 50 Power of Companionship, while evolving from ☆☆→☆☆☆ requires 200 Power of Companionship.
And unlike some evolving critters, Companions can shift between any of their unlocked evolution levels from the Companion screen. Old favorites are just a few taps away!
